My U.S. Thanksgiving holiday was fairly pleasant. I did however bring some work home with me. Alas. One of these days, I will be able to leave research fully behind. Not any century soon, though.
Just finished Biopunk last week. Not a bad read, and the movement is one that I am highly supportive of for many reasons. Although I always shudder at the notion of DNA being the software of life - I always feel it oversimplifies what is actually going on in a cell. But anyway.....
Nothing else interesting at the moment.
P.S. - I saw a TV trailer for the Sherlock Holmes sequel, and Rachel McAdams seemed to have gotten as much screen time as Noomi Rapace, in contrast to an earlier full-length trailer I saw. I thought Rachel was just cameoing and Noomi was the main female lead in this one, but this makes me think that perhaps there will be more Rachel than I had expected. Not that I'm complaining, but it just seems odd for some reason.
