So, the show is over, and it hasn't quite hit me yet.
My oral defense (part I) went well. It was very conversational, and not really stressful at all. Apparently, Liz talked my committee into doing allowing me to do something different on my paper, although I have not heard what it is. Right. Now I have until around April 27 to get the paper to my outside examiner. Oral exams part II happen May 4-5. My outside examiner got me a present, also. He had this book signed for me by the author. Apparently she was signing books and he told her about my project. It's the same woman who wrote Dead Man Walking.
Tongiht was supposed to be spent reading social psych and rewriting papers because my flash drive has disappeared. But I spent it finding apartments for my hunt tomorrow and Tuesday, and getting together another version of my resume in order to figure out letters of rec for the Steppenwolf apprenticeship. So at least it wasn't a bust.
Off to Chicago for Monday afternoon/Tuesday until about 4:30. Cell if you need me.

Woman #2: Oh I know, but he just thinks that, on a scale of 1-10, Asian girls start off with like a +10.
