"welcome to the eastcoast..."

damn, i saw god yesterday and it was the wretched ones live on stage... saw them a couple of times before, but i cant remember that they ever were that good...
but let me start from the beginning.. i missed the friday update cause beside some book-shopping (2 johnny cash books at strand for half of the listed price), there wasnt that much going on.. hung out with kari, tom and some others at a bar called subway in brooklyn and went to another place called beauty bar in manhattan later...
so, back to the saturday.. woke up early and went to a big recordfair on 18th street.. spend a couple of hours (and a lot of bucks) there and bought some stuff i still needed for my johnny cash collection... met adam and 2 guys of skin disorder there too... later i went for a while to tompkins square park to see leftover crack playing on an open air stage in front of a whole bunch of punkrockers and squatters... back in brooklyn i took a nap and went later with chris to some irish pub to meet the other lads... we watched soccer on tv (washington vs boston) and made it to the knitting factory right in time to see the last songs of the broken heroes.. the place was crowded and i met some old and new friends over there... the krays were next and they are getting better and better every time i see them... spend most of the time talking to people and hangin around outside or at the bar... after the krays, the press started and played some good tunes.. it was okay, but i missed the final kick.. they ended their set with some songs of their new band called maninblack... and then they came, the beerdrinking gods of new jersey streetpunk, the wretched ones... from the beginning of their first song till the end of their set, the crowd went nuts and they played all my alltime faves like, oi! rodgers, goin down the bar, welcome to the eastcoast, dear wolfgang, i'm just a working man and so on... i guess i missed americans most wanted, but i'm not sure if they played it or not... anyways, cant wait to see them at the punk and disorderly festival in berlin in january... after them blanks 77 went on stage and they were ok too, but again i spend most of the time hangin out and talkin to friends... after the show we hung out till early in the morning in front of some deli and went back to brooklyn...
today i will be at the cbgbs to see two sets of agnostic front, which will be filmed for their dvd...
