"BURN" - First words by Shige (SSB12.01.2014 summary)
I know I quit doing SoraShigeBook's summaries long ago but this is a special event :D
Shige talked a little about his new novel "Burn" and he shared some details about the production and plot we haven't heard yet!
I'm releasing a new book. My third novel. I said it was a Shibuya saga. I said I would release one every year. This time it feels out of a commotion, because of time and labor. The title is "Burn". The first novel was about friendship, the second, not exactly about love, but woman/man relationships, this third one you could say it's about family.
It was a hard making, I revised it until the very last. I wrote it all together in around 2 months as always, and revised it the following month. This time I've been building the plot for almost half a year, I'm really not good at doing that. This third novel is not a conclusion for me, but I feel it's a big completition for the theme of Shibuya and the entertainment world, I wanted to create a plot that could be read by a lot of people. That's one of the reasons why it took so long, but also because I tried to challenge myself a little. I've read "Pink&Grey" again after a long time and tried to look back at my writing, it's quite presumptuous to say that I noticed things that didn't work and that now I'm better though.
The main character is a theater actor, an ex talented kid actor. He temporary lost the memory of his past of 20 years ago but it's slowly coming back to him. Flashbacks of the past and the presents interchange continuously, I did this in the previous novels too, I love playing with time.
I can't tell you more details now. I think I'm going to hammer the new year. It was really hard to keep this for myself while writing.
Bonus, a cute story involving Arashi's Ohno who apparently has changed telephone number:
Ohno-kun shares his birthday with Maruyama-kun, I tried to send him a message that day but it wasn't delivered correctly (laughs). Thinking that he's a very serious man I decided to send him an email, but that didn't work too. First of all I wondered if I did something wrong. I was a little lost, should I give up and wait to meet him at the end of the year? I thought that it was better to ask though. But do I know somebody knowing Ohno-kun's real address? There's only one person. The captain. We use the same boat to go fishing. He often informs us about fishing so he must know. I decided to ask him and the telephone number he gave me was completely different from the one I had. I tried calling, I told him how I got the number and greeted him happy birthday. It was kinda sad, he apologized for the bother (laughs). We haven't been able to go fishing together at all lately, I hope we will be able to do it this year. Problem is, I still don't know his mail address. I couldn't ask him.
Then, being a little girl with a crush aka "I hope senpai notices me":
I've been to VsArashi, everybody was very nice to me. My social aim should be asking for Jun-kun's telephone number. But how? When? He might think that there's no use giving me his number since we never talk to each other, right? I searched and his birthday is in August, what can I do if he changes number before that though? It's like Arashi's telephone numbers are something unreachable! (laughs) Many people told me that Jun is a big fan of Amachan, but so many people watch that show too. Moreover Arimura Kasumi will be in "Shitsuren Chocolatier" and she does play in Amachan!
What does Jun-kun like to do? Would you listeners inform me? (laughs) I know you fans like this kind of exchanges. I could try to include myself when somebody else is exchanging numbers, but this kind of scene doesn't happen often. People say to ask before being asked but I don't think I will be asked at all. Jun-kun is so sociable, I thought he was shyer but during VSA I heard he organizes dinners and he's like a leader. He's amazing. I need to learn from him. I don't know when it's good to ask a senpai to hung out together. I will do my best, yes.
