TV FAN 02.2012 - YAMAPI's DRAMA

-What kind of person is your character?
His main theme would be "fairly good". Like, he has a fairly good life, went to a fairly good school and found a fairly good job...He's a man who's always lived in the middle. When his father dies he decides to go searching for his own faith. He's an honest man, he only wants to change his life.

-It's the role of a "normal" man then, are there difficult aspects to play?
There are! I think he also has his own personality. I need to think how to show it and in which scenes. I think that everybody has a different face at work and in private life, I want to show how focused he is when he works and how different he can be out. I want people to understand my character, I wish I will be able to play it in every possible direction and to show my hard work.

-What did you think at first of the title "The best way to end a life"?
I thought it was pretty heavy (lol). What is the best way to end a life after all? That title made me think about it too. It would be good if we will be able to find an answer in the drama.

-What do you think is the answer now?
Living your life from the birth to the death being happy. In life there are lots of chances, if you can face them, have fun and feel satisfied in the end, that would definitely be a good life. That's why everyday is important, I want to live without procrastinating. Who knows if this will work though.

-Your character works in a funeral home and little by little he finds again his faith, Yamashita-san, what is your faith in your job?
I think that after all what I want is to make people happy. For example I want people to watch my drama or movies and think they are interesting. We're here only thanks to our fans. First of all I have to give what they want to the people who watch me. And then I want my work to be interesting and funny as well. If all this happens it's the very best.

Bored and nothing to do...lately I'm missing this guy :DD
