23 Nov 2005
Fangoria have reported that Tony Todd's (Candyman) next venture will be titled Shadow Puppets, a new fright film currently rolling in LA. Actor James Marsters (Angel), Jolene Blaylock (Star Trek: Voyager), Mark Winnick and Diahnna Nicole Baxter co-star. Michael Winnick writes and directs, with Bob Crowe and Ross Goldfarb producing and Morris Ruskin serving as executive producer.
Shadow Puppets opens with a group of disparate people who awake in a facility and have no recollection of who they are or how they got there. While trying to find a way out of the locked facility, they are hunted by an ominous dark shadow.
Also, nothing new from Michael Ausiello. He says James will be doing this movie and be back for more episodes of SMALLVILLE. (and that's pretty much what we already knew)

With SHADOW: DEAD RIOT (pictured), THE THIRST and JEKYLL AND HYDE in the can, Tony (CANDYMAN) Todd has been busy on the horror-film rounds in the last year. Now on tap for the towering actor is SHADOW PUPPETS, a new fright yarn currently lensing in LA. Former Spike actor James (ANGEL) Marsters, Jolene (STAR TREK: VOYAGER) Blaylock, Mark Winnick and Diahnna Nicole Baxter co-star. Michael Winnick writes and directs, with Bob Crowe and Ross Goldfarb tackling producing chores and Morris Ruskin serving as executive producer.
Following the stark locations and simple setups of films like CUBE and SAW, SHADOW PUPPETS opens with a group of disparate people who awake in a facility and have no recollection of who they are or how they got there. While trying to find a way out of the locked facility, they are hunted by an ominous dark shadow. -Tony Timpone
