a couple weeks ago, Artem Androsov asked me what are possible scenarios of events in Britain under King Charles III and beyond. i replied that one of those is retaining monarchy while changing dynasty, adding semi-jokingly that if need be, i myself am available for the job, but let's be totally frank: every joke is part joke; you never know which things will actually come true. cases of people 'from aside' being invited to a throne or other high office, abound in human history; including cases of those with formally very humble origins(David was a mere young shepherd, George Petrovic, the founder of Karageorgievic dynasty, a peasant, if i remember correctly, Napoleon an impoverished petty gentry man etc). Nor does the prospective ruler have necessarily to be of the same ethnic stock as the people inviting them: Qajar dynasty in Iran, Rurikovichi in Rus and some others are clears proofs). As for me being Jewish, Britain is one of the places on Earth where that is in many senses an advantage rather than a minus, especially since English and Scottish folk like to claim some levels of relation with my own. Given that there have already been poor Jewish boys that became a)G-d(Joshua of Nazareth, son of a carpenter and carpenter himself, and apparently not a real good one), b)president of France(Nicolas Sarkozy, ok he's a half-blood but in France where Jews once were bullied, then banished then let back in and promptly suspected of treason, that's still quite an accomplishment), and c)president of Ukraine(Volodymyr Zelensky, originally a comedian--and i'd say this last one was even tougher that the previous two)--i don't see why a Kharkiv raised and Staten Island residing struggling poet, rock singer, actor and journalist can't be British king. So dear Westminster, if you need a new king--you know where to look!
