1. Yeah, I do think that APP is special that way. Chancellor Peacock just seems like a very outgoing sort of person! I enjoyed watching him at the game on Friday.
2. Wow. Go Alex! Straight A's and going for 18 hours! I'm truly impressed.
3. *hangs head* I keep intending to watch "Chuck" and then I keep not. It's kinda like "Ugly Betty" in that I keep intending to watch and then . . .
4. I have friends who've had success doing WW online. I'll tell you what I've told other people: the LJ WW communities that I'm on are terrific 99% of the time but I got so annoyed at the official WW message boards (not all of the people on there are Snarky Nazis but enough of them are that I just quit going there at all). Support is definitely a good thing if a person is trying to get rid of weight. (Pet peeve: the ONLY time people use "lose" and mean it positively is with "weight loss." Every other use of that word, in all its forms, in the English language is negative. I firmly believe in the power of words and I NEVER use the term "lose" weight unless I mean it in a temporary sense ("I lost three pounds and then I went out and found 'em again" sorta thing.) I always say "get rid of" because that has such a final "I never want to see it again!" sound to it.)
I never thought of the term "lose weight" that way! What a great idea, I'll have to adopt it. So far it's going well, I even ate at a Chinese buffet and managed to avoid all the starchy and fried stuff and only go up once. I'm down four and a half pounds so far.
