I miss Buffy

I miss Buffy. I miss the whole finding the B-verse and finding fanfic and finding people to rec fics to, and getting recs, and the Buffy community where small things led to long discussions and I have Buffy thoughts. I was playing on the Buffy Board for a while, and I might go back, but it's not as much fun. The mods said that people were leaving ( Read more... )

Yes, Pietro and Wanda were part of an experiment where conveniently everyone else died horrible deaths...except them.

Depends on the point of experimenting - if it's like pain tolerance, and stuff I could see where vamps could get dusted.

I think most people see it more like what some groups do to feral cats - capture, fix, and release. Except Spike isn't likely to reproduce, and they let the cats keep their claws and fangs.

Yes, there were other chipped vampires - we saw one in The Inititive, he was the one who told Spike about what was happening so I assume that he was chipped, he just didn't manage to get out when Spike did. Which makes sense really, Spike was probably the oldest and most powerful vampire that they captured so it would be harder. And yeah, I would say that the likelyhood was they kept experimenting, although possibly not until there was nothing left, depending on what they were looking for - the implication was the government was looking for a way to control the demons and vamps entirely and the chip doesn't do that (and has limitations) So you need to keep putting chips in, then seeing exactly what they do ...

You're right - I suspect he would have been one of the hardest ones to keep under control. But the vamp next door knew the blood was drugged and Spike didn't, even though he had been there for 2 weeks. I wonder if the vamp next door was new to the facility, because they had to have been erasing memories somehow.
