We are about to head up into the Foothills for the 4th of July. Lisa is coming over to collect Trouble at noon and take her to her place for an extended play date with her sister. We are going to drive up to Sacramento and have lunch with Ken and Nancy at Vic's (a sandwich and ice cream shop), then drive up to Placerville to visit the family graves, put flowers on them, do a little shopping and have an early dinner at Powell's Steamer Company. They make the world's best pan roasts. After that, we will drive over to the hotel in Sutter Creek and check in.
Good news is that Tina is responds very well to the calming drops and is practically a new cat. of cousre, we are showering her with affection at the same time. One site recommended that I keep each cat to their own room, so Trouble had the study, as per usual, Bête Noire was in the bedroom with us and tina had the run of the house. Everyone had access to food, water, toys, and a box, so I was able to sleep and not worry about stuff.
The not so great news - Tina has started marking her territory by peeing. It was a nice break while it lasted... thankfully, I have a box full of pee pads.
Last night we lost power for three hours, but the battery-operated fan we got from Amazon worked like a dream. I'm going to order two more.
Anyhow, I will quite probably be offline for the rest of the day, so I will wish you a Happy pre-4th of July. Stay safe out there.
