It's now the next day and I'm now in the make-up chair in front of the vanity table I saw yesterday, getting the M.A.C. and Covergirl applied to my eyes and cheeks. Davey said it gives off an eerie Halloween aura. I say it just looks badass.
"So Jade," Davey begins as he's brushing a pale pink to my cheeks, "what sort of things are you into?" Davey asks. I shrug. What does he mean? Like hobbies?
"Uh, I'm secretly in love with techno," I say. Davey briefly looks me in the eyes, grin on his face before taking his left hand, cupping my left cheek, tilting it to the left direction of the room. He picks up the eyeshadow brush dipped in a dark powder kohl, brushing it over my right eyelid before starting up conversation again.
"Techno is good. Paul Oakenfold, Darkchild, DJ Dado...they have some pretty good mixes," Davey says with a nod. I smile slightly. Davey's not that bad once you get past the whole girly make-up boy thing he has going on. He actually listens to me. I like that.
"Hunter works here too, right?" I ask Davey.
"Hunt? Yeah, he's in charge of splattering the fake blood and other various fluids around our little haunted doll house," Davey says. Haunted doll house, I like that.
_________
"So since we're all ready to open tomorrow, want to watch a movie in my office?" Davey asks. He refers to his make-up dreamland as the "office". I nod as we're walking down the hallway. I had just gotten back from rehearsal. My job wasn't that hard. All I had to do was stalk the guests and at the right moment, be able to terrify them with a realistic looking [prop] chainsaw. That's not too bad.
"Sure," I agree with a nod," what did you have in mind?" I ask. Davey looks up to me and grins.
"I like 'Dirty Dancing'," Davey says. I roll my eyes. Davey nudges me. "C'mon, you know you can't resist it," Davey teased. I smiled at him.
"Oh yeah, because I totally love seeing Patrick Swayze in tights," I kid. Davey nods enthusiastically.
"Exactly, it's settled," he decides. He links arms with me and drags me into the so called "office."
_________
A half hour into the movie and Davey's eyes are already watering. It's kind of funny, yet cute at the same time. The shock sets in when he snuggles into my side, clutching my arm. Well, I guess he just needs comfort. I mean, come on. Just because he's gay doesn't automatically make him this clingy. You know what? I'm not even sure if he's gay, it's just an assumption I made. You know what, I should start being okay with this, and I am.
"You okay Dave?" I ask. He nods, blowing his nose into a Kleenex from the box he had sitting next to him on the couch we were sort of snuggled on. God, this movie is so...tiring. Maybe I'll catch a few z's before having to leave with Adam. Closing my eyes slowly, I drift off the unconsciousness.
_________
I yawn. God, what time is it? Checking my clock I notice it's been a good forty-five minutes. Turning my head I also notice Davey has fallen asleep on my shoulder. He looks kind of cute in this lighti-woah woah. No, he looks cute in a childish innocent way. Uh-huh...
Let me remind you, Davey is the honest one, me, psh I just sit back and watch. He looks so innocent. I mean, his fringe covering his left eye, flopped in front of his face, his pale pink lips slightly open, not much, his black long lashes brushing his pale cheek, and his arm is loosely gripping my left. Okay, for a guy...he's pretty cute. I've never really been with a guy, always trying to keep "clean", but I really can't deny this physical attraction to Davey, it's weird, almost non-real.
My free arm [the right] quietly moves over to Davey, thumb lightly brushing his cheek. His skin is so soft and cold. Davey whines slightly in his sleep before snuggling closer into me, arm letting go of mine and head falling into my lap. I look down at the boy situated in my er...lap. No no, that's definitely a prop knife in my pocket.
My hands softly tangle in Davey's hair, one stroking through the silky raven fringe, the other massaging his scalp comfortingly. He groans softly, lashes fluttering. I quickly, untangle my hands from his hair. A few seconds later he opens his eyes tiredly.
"Mm, Jade?" He asks.
"Hm?" I answer. He looks at me uncertainly.
"Why'd you stop?" He asks. I blush and look away briefly, bringing my gaze back to his. "Keep going, it felt nice," Davey says as if reading my thoughts. I nod before changing my hands to their previous position, massaging his scalp soothingly. He mews softly, sort of feline-like. I smile softly. There's a sudden knock on the door, and I quickly remove my hands, Davey sitting upright. We got up just in time for Adam to open the door, entering with Hunter. I smile at the two, trying not to look so flustered.
"Ready to go Jade?" Hunter asks. I nod, looking to Davey quickly before joining Adam and Hunter.
"Hey hey," Davey starts,"don't I get my hugs?" He asks. Adam and Hunter simultaneously nod, as if used to it. Davey reluctantly gets up, hugging Adam before giving a peck to each cheek and repeating with Hunter.
"Do I get one from you?" Davey asks, somewhat shyly. I hesitantly nod, him giving me one of those enormous bear-hugs. I can almost feel the love oozing out as we speak. Then he lifts his head up, kissing each cheek briefly before placing a gentle on to my lips, as if debating whether to or not to. I look over at Adam and Hunter, surprised. They shrug, as if normal as Davey lets go of me. He gives me a half-smile.
"I'll see you three tomorrow then?" Davey asks. Adam nods.
"Yeah, tomorrow is opening night," Adam reminds with a nod. Is it weird that I'm the only one shocked, shooken up, and flustered about the previous situation? Looking at Adam and Hunter, I notice I am. Well, maybe it's normal, I should just shake it off as nothing eh?
Fat chance of that. I need a shower.
