Yes, I'm still here. Not much to report at the moment, except that I still love my job even though I don't understand Catholics. I got a book on tape about them and listened to it on my commute. It's called "Why do Catholics do that?"
I had a rough weekend at work, put in long hours to haul tables around for high schoolers who came to camp. Facilitating high ropes was fun, and a nice change of pace. There are advantages and disadvantages to high school students, especially when compared to the 1st graders we taught earier in the week.
Brendan has decided to stick with the program for sure now, so I will be in Indiana for another 4 years excluding the exotic field work that I hope he'll do eventually. I have my heart set on Ireland, but lets just hope he doesn't choose to study Djbouti.
So I actually know what I'm doing for more than a year from now, which is the first time that's happened in a very long time. I'm coming to Portland for the summer. Yes, you heard right, Portland! I'm working for the Audubon day camps near Mt. Hood for 4 weeks and in Portland for 3 weeks. I'll be traveling through the SW to see the grand canyon and what not in May and June.
I have needed some time for myself lately, so I have not been a good friend to those who aren't in Bloomington. I'm sorry about that. Please call or write because I'd love to hear from you.
