When there was originally buzz about them making this into a series, I prayed for it to be HBO. 'Cause there's no way they'll get it right on network TV. NO WAY.

I totally agree with you. John Constantine is one of my favorite characters in all of literary history, let alone comic book history. He's a snarky bastard and who couldn't help but fall in love with him on paper. (In real life, I'd probably punch him in the face). In fact, if Sirius Black had teamed up with him in school, there would have been no stopping them!

Anyway, I'll watch the first episode or so. Maybe. If my friends tell me it's safe.

I got over Harry Dresden, and now I can watch that series (if I keep telling myself that it's a different guy from the books). Maybe... maybe?

Ugh, but the edge is off if he isn't chucking cigarettes in people's faces and kissing men when they're tied up and can't do shit about it. -_-

NBC keeps trying to venture into Showtime/HBO terrain and failing miserably because of "standards and practices" regulations that are, at a conservative estimate, at least 30 years out of date.

The DRACULA series last autumn with Jonathan Rhys Meyers had great costume pr0n but JRM kept his pants on in every shot where Dracula really, truly needed to be naked. And purely as an aesthetic observation, JRM has one of the great derrieres in the history of male-kind, so... WHAT A WASTE.

It looks like the same dumb cocks-up is going to be repeated with this one. (or maybe that should be cocks-down. because, you know.)
