It finally snowed!
Finally, we have snow in Ohio! I was sort of sorry that the event was almost over by the time that I got up yesterday morning....I was lazy and slept in pretty late.
So now it is cold and there is snow and people are complaining. Whatever...it's friggin' January.
The bar was closed again last weekend, so I proweled around other people's houses. Boring, but relaxing. I did go to BANG at Skully's on Friday night, but was not feeling inspired by the music. *yawn*
I'm sitting here listening to Jesu, one of Jason Broderick's (Godflesh, ICE, etc.) projects and I had forgotten the strength and spitiuallity of his music. So warm with heavy bass and layered sounds. Jesu is less abrasive than Godflesh could be, but still just as powerful. I used to meditate to Godflesh and this makes people laugh. It's classified as alt metal, but I don't hear anything metal about it. It is a powerful wall of sound from deep in the earth.
So there.
My amyrillis is getting ready to bloom and I'm pretty excited about that. Bought some organic fertilizer for my seedlings that will be coming in about a month. I'm trying to get excited about gardening again. Last year I was overwhelmed and tired and frustrated....Hopefully, I can get a handle on things again.
We got a decent bid for the work on the house. We will be having the siding and gutters re-done soon and one of the awnings replaced while another is removed. The roof will be in the spring. Hopefully, all of this will go smoothly and the house will look much, much better...
