The reality of the fur industry

The really sad thing, is that this is the absolute "tamest" of this sort of film that I could find. This is happening here, in America. The ones from other countries are far worse. They are far crueler, clubbing the animals to death, even skinning them alive. I debated posting them, as well, but they were just so horrible, I couldn't even watch

*puzzles* But I said the conditions here are way better than they are in other countries. Not that it could be called humane by any stretch of the imagination, but it's better than it is in Canada, Asia, and Europe. Espescially when you consider that fur from other countries that is marked here as "rabbit" "mink" or "fox" is quite possibly cat or dog fur. *shudders* They don't have the laws we have here

*HUGS* Melissa, I think that your feelings and concerns are valid. I still think that we should look into forming some kind of group or something to help animals out, whether it be fur farms or puppy/kitten mills or abused animals. Maybe we can talk about it this weekend while you guys are here.

*hugs* Thank you, babe. I have had an epiphany as to a way to get furriers to improve conditions and treatment all on their own that appeals to their desire to make money. I'm really excited! I shall explain when I see ya.

But yeah, I'm definitely all for starting a group to help them out. One that's not as much of a hypocritical joke as PETA has become tho.

Minor point:

Minks are mustelids, and foxes are canids (yep, just like Fido but less social). Neither are "rodents."
