The reality of the fur industry

The really sad thing, is that this is the absolute "tamest" of this sort of film that I could find. This is happening here, in America. The ones from other countries are far worse. They are far crueler, clubbing the animals to death, even skinning them alive. I debated posting them, as well, but they were just so horrible, I couldn't even watch them to the end.

If you don't buy furs from America, you could very well be buying coats made of dog and cat fur? And believe me, they fare just as badly as the treatment I described above.

I just can't believe that these conditions for the sake of furs is still allowed here. I mean, it's disgusting enough that it takes so many deaths to make one ugly garment, but the fact that these animals must live miserable lives in deplorable conditions makes it that much worse. Why don't the people that insist on having furs request "organic" fur - fur where the conditions the animal was raised under were pleasant for the animal and the manner in which it met it's death were humane?

Not that I think fur is anything but revolting, no matter how it's obtained. I think anyone who would consider wearing fur should see this.
