the mars volta are playing at the fillmore tonight. i was smart enough to wait 2 weeks to get tickets when they happened to sell out after several days. so unfortunately i won't be attending this event. but for anyone who is going, congratulations. this band is the most inspirational music i have heard in a long time. it's arguably the best album i have, and missing this perfect opportunity to see them makes me feel like an idiot. arggg. but i suppose there will be other concerts in the near future. dredg is coming soon, i'll stay optimistic.
