Part of the reason my shelves are so very full is because I buy a fair amount of anime. Granted it's slowed some between upheavals on the Pacific side of fandom the shamefully craptastic job some companies do when it comes to certain releases. (Seriously, I don't mind buying Sub only DVDs. I prefer them actually. But I'd thought we'd passed the 'Letters aren't cheap' stage of screwing the otaku.) But, regardless I do try, at times, to keep up with what's getting licensed out of my watchlist.
However, as we've gotten to, somewhat, instantaneous licensing with the rise of streaming, it usually gives a fangirl a good idea of what will be available later in the year. But. Sometimes. I wonder if the companies actually have no idea what the crap they're licensing when they pick titles up.
Sentai Filmworks Inu x Boku SS Press Release *headdesk* Really, Sentai? You make the series sound like some tragic mystery series with a hint of demons. This is why people download anime in the first place - a test run to see if things are good or not. Because, with a description like that, the otaku have no idea what they're buying.
GG, Sentai...Now stop screwing around and give us more Gintama dammnit.
