Regarding the vagina on my knee...

I just got back from jaunt #2 around Lake Merritt this week. Or within a few days anyway. This time I started out with a pretty moderate jog. I managed to make it all the way to the new restaurant that is opening tomorrow on the other side of the lake before I went down to a walk break. I probably ran twice as much as last time. I felt pretty good toward the end of the trip. In the beginning my upper back is really tight and my breathing is a bit tight as well. It loosens up over time. I spent lots of time trying to control my breathing and keeping a pattern. This didn't last. I think some of my early motivation was driven by a girl running in front of me. I wanted to keep her pace. That worked well for awhile. Even after I took a break and walked a bit I managed to catch back up for a bit. Then she lost me for good.

I wasn't as itchy this time, I put lotion on prior to my run, on my sides and belly. I think that helped. One thing I did notice that was not very exciting was when I stopped jogging and dropped into a walk i felt a small tiny pinch in my right knee. It didn't effect my running or jogging at all, but I'm not sure why it hurt or what was triggering it. This is the same knee that has always(for about 4 years) had a weird tightness and a consistent need to be straightened and popped. Well when I was walking home and began a traverse up a pretty steep hill, that pinch became a real fucking pain. Hence my knee is a pussy. So bad that I almost didn't know how to walk up the fucking hill. Man it hurt. I felt old, scared and unsure of what to do. I just took it slow and eventually it kind of went away and I was on level ground again with no pain. something is being pinched. sucky. Oh well.

Also, my nipples sting like fuck. I'm sure this is because I have flabby man boobs and my shirt was sloshing about and rubbing all over my nips. I think I need to put something over my nipple next time. lol.

Anyway, felt great to go around the lake again. I'm going to call this entire trip that I do a 5 mile trek. Since the lake is 3.5, and my trip to and from the house has got to be 3/4 of a mile at least in one direction, making it 1.5 roundtrip. I could easily have done more tonight. Maybe not more running, but I had energy to keep hiking or walking that is for sure.

Pretty soon I'll be jogging around the entire lake. I feel like I'm at the beginning of this montage, the part where I struggle and my coach yells at me a lot, but I keep on going... I can't wait to see the part where I beat the coach and finish and reach my peak. Soon.

I'm considering doing this everyday, and maybe even doing it in the morning also. Doubling it up. It's so easy and simple. Even just walking it is enough. It's fucking cardio and I'm loving it.

My weekend was okay. Blew off the Doc thing, mainly because other people blew it off and I was tired by the time the decision came to stay or go. I think I was 4 beers deep and snuggled in my bed. My pillows can be so seducing.

Rose bright and early on Saturday morning, headed to the bank over at Lakeshore, then drove to my bank in Alameda to deposit some clams. Then got a 'Bucks and went to Juju and Gabby's place for Burningman preppy stuff. Ran some errands, and handled some essential stuff for the bike. Then watched the Strikeforce fight. Loved all of it.

Sunday morning, also rose bright and early. Actually earlier than Saturday, and I was fine with it. I should have went around the lake at that point, I will more. Anyway, I was going to go fishing with my brother, but he blew it off and told me to meet him for breakfast. So I  went and met him in North Berkeley at Inn Kensington. This has been his favorite place for breakfast for like 17 years. I think we've gone there about 10 times together. It's pretty good, but there are flaws. The place has no gravy. But they server these big fucking biscuits. These biscuits deserve gravy. Almost enough that I would make some gravy and bring it along to pour on them. And their mochas leave something to be desired. But their eggs benedict was aight. I should yelp it.

After that I headed over to Juju and Gabby's again. Let the dogginz out and watered some plants. Then I tightened up the handlebars on the bike thing. Then I didn't do much else but sit around and watch tv. I think I felt like there was more I could be doing for burningman prep, but there really wasn't much. I pumped up the tires on the bike and we took it for a test ride. It worked pretty good. It has some small things that could be changed, but for the mostpart the dang thing works well. I think the chair needs to be replaced and possibly something done with the chain to tighten it and maybe tighten the steering wheel somehow.

Then I headed home and spent about 2 hours trying to get my external harddrive to output to my tv. The fucking thing just wouldn't send it's signal to my tv. I can't figure it out. I just need to get a dvd player. I'm a bit pissed about it not working on my tv, but whatever.

Then I took a tiny nap and was going to watch a movie with my roommates in the front room and then my data dvd wouldn't play on their old ass dvd player. So I said fuck it and let them watch their V for Vendetta dvd they rented instead.

I am pretty sure I'm the only guy that hates that movie. Well maybe I don't hate it, but I don't love it that's for sure. The dude's voice was lame and the story was kind of lame too. Just dumb overall and a waste of time. Sure I like movies that could be described in those terms, but this was not one of them.

I just took a lovely shower and now I'm doing some whites in the launrdy and listening to Major Lazer...but about to watch some tv I thinks.

Need to make food plan lists for burningman and get my dehydrater working overtime on fruit and beef jerky stuff.
