Well once again it's time for me to update this beast. The semester is moving along, for better or worse I suppose, which is more than fine with me. Classes are good and oddly enough I know every single professor I have better than most in the classes I'm taking. North American Archaeology and New England Archaeology are hard ass classes, but the work load is manageable and I'm content with that. Stained Glass III and 2D Design are easy enough since I have the time and patience (god knows how) to work on the assignments, and Science of Society is just another anthropology class while Foundations in Math is a joke. Speaking of Foundations, I have a test tomorrow which I should be studying for... but I'm not. I also have a meeting with Kelli tomorrow about the forthcoming Ireland trip in 2007 and I'm taking Meryl out to dinner later on that night. Things with her continue to go swimmingly which is always nice... she's also managed to suck me into World of Warcraft. I suppose it was only a matter of time before that happened, especially considering every single roomate of mine plays it as well as her, so I didn't exactly put up a fight.

On the topic of computers, mine has officially reached the end of the road and is all but dead. I can't leave it on for more than half an hour before it overheats as a result of the cooling fan completely collapsing (literally) and every single blade in the propeller snapping off. If it stays on too long it overheats and freezes up, prompting me to fire out a long string of obscenities. For the past few days I've been backing up files, namely pictures I don't want to lose by putting them on CD's, and printing out term papers and other doccuments that I probably should keep. When I got to work tonight (which is where I'm typing this from), I printed out every single major paper or word doccument that I had on my computer and literally used a full printer tray of paper. The walk back to my room should be enjoyable, considering I'll be lugging a 20 pound weight of paper with me. As for a new computer, I've been talking to my mom over the past few days about having her spot me the money to buy an imac G5. After the experiences I've had with the Windows platform and the continued viruses, spyware and repeated crashes, I'm pretty much at the end of my roap with Microsoft. As a result, I'm going to buy an Apple and be a happy camper.

In other news, the budget hearing for the car club is tomorrow; we're looking to pick up a digital video camera, a sticky pod (a camera mount that sticks on the outside of a car), a GTI race track for a fundraiser, stickers, a bentley manual, books, movies and other stuff. Hopefully we can get what we want (namely the first three things) and organize a cruise for later on in the spring. On the 25th I'm going to see Opeth in Providence Rhode Island with a couple of guys I go to the bubble with, which is awesome as well, since I've never seen them and I have someone to go with. On that note, Katatonia released the new single from their upcoming album as well as the video today. The video can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/w/Katatonia-My-Twin?v=93DUKOoIAjw&search=katatonia

It's a streaming file, so there won't be a wait for it. It's not bad, but the ending seems a bit dragged out :-P.

I'm going to go study for my math test.
