OK, this didn't get a guffaw out of me. What it did was inspire a slow burn of stifled hysterical laughter in my office's break room, and then all the way as I walked back to my office.

In comic books, sometimes character can fly and there's really no good reason for it. Like, when I got into the X-Men I just assumed Storm could fly, but they go ahead and explain that she's using winds to lift her, which would just be terrible for her hair, if you ask me, but I always thought the lamest explanation for flight was the one given ( Read more... )

Verdict: It's pretty good. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It didn't thrill me like X2 did, but there were more than enough geeky cool moments (red-hot electrified labret piecing, anyone?) to keep me interested. I'm worried that it won't do well at the box office, though, and will be, indeede, the last stand.
