Should I visit Portland the week after next (the first weekend of October)? I can get a few days off from work by creatively flexing my hours and foregoing overtime. I'd probably be there next Saturday morning through Wednesday afternoon/evening or maybe Thursday sometime

This post made me feel warm and fuzzy all over, similar to as if I'd been covered in kittens. You came here just to catch up with me? You're the awesomest.

I'm leaning towards yes, right now. If you guys get married again in a few months maybe I can have another excuse.

I kind of feel like a lame-o by wanting to visit so often--like I'm not really happy here, or not willing to commit to the reality of my move. I am pretty homesick sometimes but it *is* pretty awesome here--mostly in work-land, but still, work-land is important to me--and I *am* reaching out. I just miss you all really bad, and could use extra cuddles these days. :(

Everything you suggested sounds really good to me. Let's keep talking!

I don't know when I'll be able to get away from work again for long enough to fly cross-country, so it would be really cool to see you while I am there! As for whether that is a wise plan for you or not, I don't know...I understand your anxiety re: work, but it sounds like it would be fine, especially since you're getting good vibes about yourself and your performance from co-workers.
Maybe even if you were leaving Wed., we could at least hang out in the airport when I get in that morning. :P

I got your e-mail, and Eavan told me! I would love to see you--I don't think I have since *your* graduation. At first I was despairing of it being possible, but after discussing my schedule with one of my bosses today, he pointed out something I hadn't thought of, and said I could have that Thursday off too if I wanted. Since I have work starting at midnight on Friday, I'll have to leave on Thursday sometime, but I could have all of Wednesday instead of having to leave at the end of *that* day. And, I'd only have to skip two days of work, and not take any vacation (I can't anyway, I'm too new), and still get 41 hours that week! Not bad for having close to a week off! Yahoo!

So...let's keep in touch. I have your e-mail, and let's talk lots! And: Tracy might be in town, too. It'll be awesome.

By the way: I still have the teeniest of walruses which you gave me long ago, around here somewhere. It makes me smile, and think of you. <3
