I have two easy answers--that is, the titles came to me in about 5 seconds. One show that got most of one season and should have gone for much longer is Firefly. There was a show called "Nowhere Man" - I recall it being on one of the UHF channels, but I'm not sure. Had an interesting premise. This professional photographer has a great life - beautiful devoted wife, big house, etc. - and is having his first major gallery showing. On opening night he gets call about his studio being burgled or burnt down or something (I'm fuzzy on the details). When he returns the gallery is closed and all of his photos have vanished. He goes home and his wife claims she doesn't know him and calls the cops, and he soon finds that all his friends and business associates deny knowing him as well, and his identity has been completely erased. The rest of the season his him investigating why this has happened, and ended with him being told that he was actually a government assassin and the whole photographer thing was just a cover (as I recall), but it left alot of unanswered questions to be addressed in season 2 - which never happened, of course. I wanted some closure, godammit, but I suppose the most interesting conspiracies are those that never do have an answer...
