How to Permanently Have Your Birthday Ruined
So. In addition to waking to the news that the dad of twins I've been friends with since I was 9 had passed away on my birthday, I just found out a former close friend from college died.
Turns out, also on my birthday.
That's right... a former close friend. It was a friendship that I ultimately ended because of a whole lot of toxicity. It turns out that after college she got close to one of my running friends, so I will need to not draw too much attention to the bad ending to that relationship. We were close friends and together a lot in college for a period of time, however. Needless to say... horrifically complicated. And... my birthday is never going to be the same...
