soup's on

in honor of my latest cough, we made soup tonight. beef broth with carrots, onions, potatoes, mushrooms, home-roasted red bell pepper, corn, and farfalle noodles. as i said, while on my second bowl, "this tastes like real soup!" i stopped short of a third bowl, but i really wanted it. chicken soup is forthcoming for the weekend.
