lauren, i think, in comparison to most people, you have it pretty well figured out. do what YOU want to do. not what your father, or anyone else, tells you to do. i think its awesome that you want to do physical therapy because you're helping people... and you should do it. i believe you have the drive, talent, and skill necessary. in as far as your shoulder, because i'm your friend, i don't want you to hurt yourself. it just depends on what will hurt you more: the physical pain from whatever happens with your shoulder, or quitting swimming. anyway, i love you, and keep your chin up. we're gonna throw darts at baloons with paint in them. because we rock.
Lauren I think you have the most amazing drive towards swimming. Something I grasp only the tip of the iceburg of. I think no matter what anyone says you have to go with your heart even if you sometime doubt it's own merit. There are big risks either side. Yet I beleive in the short time I've known you that you have the heart to make the right choice.
i don't know if i really have an amazing drive, but it is something that i enjoy and i know that will be a part of me for the rest of my life. and well...even if you don't think you totally grasp this whole passion for swimming, that's not a bad thing. you're great at so many other things, and as long as you're happy and enjoy what you do then that's what is important.
Just so we're clear, I'm not opposed to you swimming, I just don't want you to hurt yourself. Because then, you wouldn't really have a choice, ya know? So, I'm sorry if I came across like that.
no, i wasn't really referring to you when i was talking about my shoulder injury. i was takling more about people in general, but mainly my dad. and i understand where you're coming from....especially since i'm not looking to go tear my rotator cuff on purpose lol
