Beethoven!!
I just got back from an amazing performance of Beethoven's 9th Symphony by the Harvard-Radcliffe Orchestra and Choir. It was truly beautiful and uplifting. However, it was the first orchestra concert that I've been to since ESYO ended. It was so weird to be sitting in the audience listening rather than on the stage playing. It made me miss playing the trumpet so much. I don't know how I will ever get back into playing, since I don't really play or practice anymore. I dusted my horn off a couple of days ago, and I sounded pretty terrible. I'm considering joining the marching band with my roommate, but that's not exactly musically rewarding like an orchestra is. I would have to practice a ton and maybe start taking lessons again to get into one of the orchestras. Maybe I can do it over the summer.
