Lavendar with Rage

So I've been lacking in my posts for several reasons: 1) I honestly think Sam is the only one who reads this, which is a little sad on my part. 2) If others are reading this, I'm self concious about how I write. 3) Sloth. But now, bereft of things to do and with Chris safely tucked away at his house, I type away to you, reader, and so I will promptly catch you up on these past few days.

I received a B+ on my term paper for English which I'm extremely excited about. School is getting more intolerable by the day, with more and more classes that I find myself calling their purpose into question. The other day I didn't even use my pencil. I drugded through the entire school day without needed to write anything--at many points I just zoned out, and rightly so--there was no need to be there. Bah. It's all over next week, and about time.

I've shyly used Amazon.com's nifty "people who bought this also bought" system to read books lately, I used it for "Revolutionary Road" and from that am now reading a juicy little novel titled "Appointment in Samarra". Good stuff; I wish I had lived in the 1920's and 1930's. The whole modern age. No I don't. Yes I do.

Musically I've been playing Built to Spill's new album "You in Reverse". To me it comes off as an aspiring guitarist's paradise. Listen to it, it's very...Built to Spill. The guitarist's slightly whiny voice makes their sound, and to quote tinymixtapes.com, their bass/drums "fits the band like a fucking glove".

So Chris was fairly sick this weekend, most of my time went towards making him more at ease. Doctor visits, hot soups, snake oil--the works. I don't wish inflamed tonsils on anyone. No one. That's all I'll say on the matter.

On a lighter note my Mom bought her cat an automatic litter box, the kind that scoops itself after usage. Convinient? Kind of. Excessive? Sure. I'm sure before a month is done my mom will weigh cleaning a small amount of cat dung everyday against carrying an entire box of it once a week. I know what I'd rather (neither). What amuses me the most is that it has a ramp. The cat isn't handicapped, just feral.
