what are co-ops like? i need a place to live for the fall semester and a few people suggested checking out a co-op, but i have no idea what they're like. so tell me! what're they like? is it just like a huge house with a bunch of people and a kitchen and a few bathrooms? or is it like a dorm where there isn't much of a kitchen?
i'd post this as a comment in response to an entry of yours, but i'm at work and for some reason the only thing on livejournal that is blocked at work is the friends page hahaha
but yeah, more detail on the subject of my douchebag landlord: so he said it wouldn't be a problem for me to stay in the fall semester even though he made the lease only until august 24th. so then two days ago i find out that he got a first-year law student who wants my apartment, so i have to move out. not only that, this new tenant wants to move in on the morning of the 22nd even though my lease is through the end of the 24th. AND he said he has 5 other apartments that are available but he won't tell me if i can have one until august 24th. AKA NO TIME TO FIND A NEW PLACE IF HE DOESNT HAVE ANY APARTMENTS. he's such a fucking douchebag. so now i'm scrambling to find a new apartment for such a short amount of time. oh well. i'm screwed but that's ok. i've found a small bit of luck but i don't think i can be very picky at this point in the game.
