the last week in a nutshell.

  • even a boring life is better when you can spend it with someone you care about.
  • the atlanta aquarium is amazing! beluga whales! ross and i dropped $75 in just a few hours, but it was so worth it. it's beautiful.
  • jackass the movie turned out to be hilarious. shows how much ross has corrupted me in a year.
  • meghan's kitten manny has been renamed 'pedro' by ross. he's absolutely in love with the thing and came to answer the door holding it in his arms because he didn't want to wake it up. he let it sleep in between us on the futon (sleeping between two sleeping bags... bad idea. giant ball of static. think when you rub across the seat to get out of your car, but times a million and all over you every time you roll over.)
  • made $450 this morning. ross and i figured it out to be about $75 an hour.
  • already done with all the christmas shopping except one thing for ross which meghan might be helping me with.
  • kaitlin (or caitlin... i can't get it straight since we talk so much about how people misspell her name) schlosser is awesome. a ton of mercer wind ensemblers went to ingleside pizza after practice yesterday morning... band kids are the same everywhere. i'd missed them.
  • spent 3 1/2 hours with ross's family (some form of great-aunt and uncle, second cousins, possibly once removed. i never got it straight.) eating at fuddrucker's this afternoon. i'm in fact very impressed with myself for enjoying meeting new people and being social. this is the kind of thing that used to scare me to death and now i'm proving to be alright at it.
  • glad to finally be home. not that i've spent any time here yet. but i'd missed saint mark. coming home to dede, robert and david wallace is just as good as coming home to my family. it's nice to know you've been missed.
  • good thing we held handbell practice so late tonight... seems that some of us (coughcoughcharlesanddavidcoughcough) have picked up and been practicing some less-than-church-appropriate ways to express ourselves since we've been away, and a round of sightreading something we have to perform a week from now is enough to bring it out.
  • finally, i am glad to see david miller again. i needed that. even if he does leave crumpled up straw wrappers in my front seat.
