Wait... you only love that moment because you thought it was his first time? I mean, I thought it was too, but then again I can see how that assumption could be wrong. I love the way Nathan can only respond, "I don't know. I don't know." And, yeah, I think that still works if he flew before. It's just jarring to rethink.
Also, I freakin' knew that Nathan isn't a natural asshole. It's how he deals with his emo shit. He really is just as emo as his brother, honestly. It's cute. Heh. But you're right in that, if Nathan does remember flying, it makes his "No powers! Powers bad!!!" stance make more sense.
About Hiro-- I thought maybe he had a limited amount of time he could be in another time before he got yanked back? Yeah, maybe. That seems like the best guess.
THen again that doesn't explain why he was in Japan... Point of origin? It's what Hiro considers "home."
I'm not sure that confirmed that Niki has a multiple personality disorder. I'm not convinced. What if it is really and truly Jessica? I think that'd be a lot more

I've read a few books on multiple personality disorder, and it's following most of the classic signs.
I actually thought that the abuse was going to be sexual, because from what I've read, sexual abuse is more likely to generate MPD. Though given the network it's on I guess it makes sense.
I thought it was going to be sexual too and was going to sort of groan because it's so cliché even if it's accurate. Mostly because I'm tired of Dr. Drew on Loveline attributing every single problem anyone has to sexual abuse.
Yeah, it is rather cliche. I think it works fine the way it is, really. Apparently there are a number of people who claim to have MPD without having been abused at all, actually. But I was expecting sexual abuse since the most well-known MPD cases are from 'Sybil' and 'When Rabbit Howls', and both of those were sexual abuse cases. Along with mental and physical.
YES! DID. Thank you. The correct term for the disorder. And it is rare, and there are many, many therapists who don't believe that it exists at all, since it is so hard to prove. God. I hate the term 'multiple personality disorder' so much.
So I've talked about this probably ad nauseum on the TWOP forums, but it's actually really UNrealistic MPD (my mom has it, so... ) I'm glad they show her having had severe repeated trauma as a child, because that's what cuases it (rather than some later trauma or genetics, as people have specualted and is often the case on, say, soap operas). MPDs do get other personalities to protect the main one, but it's almost always numerous personalities, it's very, very rarely just the one. Also, once you have another person living in your head, they don't just. . . go away for awhile because you can take care of yourself now. They're still there, not useful but certainly taking up space -- and it's usually obvious to other people that the main personality is not *quite* right, although they rarely think it's other personalities. It's hard to be totally normal-acting when you have a bunch of personalities all living in one body. So, yeah, I have a looooot of trouble with Niki just being MPD, and I'm reallllly hoping Jessica is like inhabiting

I was using it interchangeably -- my mom's DID, but most people have never heard of Dissociative (sp?) Identity Disorder. Still, Niki's symptoms are nothing like any DID I've ever met.
And PC, it's no big, my mom's a great mom. And Heroes is certainly doing a better job than, say, All My Children. ; ) Yeah, there's never been a truly realistic portrayal that I've seen.

the totally unresearched portrayal is making me a little squeamish.
Well, this is always how MPD is portrayed in TV and movies, though, isn't it?
