I'm starting to feel much better about the Takemitsu. We made some progress yesterday. I've been practicing it all sorts of ways, playing it heavy, thinking about the clusters, getting to know the mood of the chords, noticing the way spacing changes the feel completely, working to create a beautiful sound and atmosphere, etc.
I dreamed that I lived in a place with tropical beaches. Michelle had a tiny baby and she kept it on the beach so we went to visit and hold her. I was departing for France soon and everything was confusing. Haley told me about a dream she had in which there were tiny men inside her mouth working her jaw, which was suddenly mechanical and made out of wood like Brio toy trains.
