As the Year Ends...
Last year for my new year's resolution I resolved to be less social as a joke because I was already seriously antisocial, but somehow I ended up keeping my resolution and did basically nothing all year. Frankly, it sucked. I got less and less social as the year went on and now I regret it. I always hate new year and resolved not to do it this year but I wanted to see my friends so I invited them over for dinner last night. It was really nice. It was a nice birthday in general actually.
I got a Christmas card in the mail from ai_no_himitsu that included shop photos of Massu and a ribbon from Mousepeace (is she not the most awesome friend ever?!) and spent the morning watching the 8Uppers movie which is hilarious and adorable and sweet and actually movie length - for some reason I was expecting like a five minute thing. After that I went to Dad's and had lunch and cake with my dad and sister, then watched Tomorrow When The War Began which was better than I was expecting and true to the books (best books ever! Every Australian should and probably has read them but I recommend them to the rest of the world too - the author is John Marsden who is absolutely brilliant.) And then I had dinner with the girls.
And extra bonus; My mum and step-dad got me a camera for Christmas/Birthday (which is shiny and fantastic) but as an extra for my birthday, my mum scanned my childhood photos and put all the digital images on a cd for me with dates on the file names. It's so sweet. See how cute I used to be:
I was only blonde for about a year or so but I made me look so much more like my mother's daughter.
