puts the color inside of my world

It wasn't fair. They didn't even know her. How could they say such ridiculous things about her when they'd never even met her? He wasn't even... She was just his friend.

He'd been thinking about it ever since he'd seen his parents over the holidays. He'd mentioned something about Peg - not even anything especially significant - and of course his parents needed to know everything about her immediately. It was safe to say that they didn't approve. She would only take advantage of him, they said, that she wanted his money. And yet, Peg would hardly ever let him pay for anything at all, but of course they weren't listening to that. It wasn't fair.

He found himself walking the familiar path to her apartment. He needed to talk to someone, he knew, but he couldn't bring himself to mention it to Lady. He only wanted to talk to one person.

He knocked on Peg's door.
