Jonah had a plan. He knew he wanted to take Peg out somewhere and he knew there was absolutely no way she was going to let him so the solution was very simple. He wasn't going to tell her. He had it all set up, the hotel room was paid for and he was all dressed up for the night. She couldn't say no if it was already set up, could she? He didn't really care to spend the whole night alone at the hotel.
