I took my Russian final this morning hepped up on chocolate and these Ukrainian mocha wafer cookies Denis brought in for us. I have never been so sad to turn in a final exam in my academic career. I am going to miss this class, and Denis, like whoa! We are making arrangements to finish the last two chapter of the text over the summer and have chats online and stuff, but still...*I am a giant sad face right now*. When I dropped off my test in his office, Denis told me about NSEP, a gov't program that pays you to learn a foreign language and work for the gov't (at the DoD, DoS, etc.) for a year using the language skills you learned. He said I should look into it since I love Russian and I displayed an aptitude for learning it (his words!). That would be so amazingly bitchin'! But I think I have to be enrolled in grad school to get in the program. That could be problematic...
And a music rec! I got this from
icequeen3101 and had to share it with the rest of my f-list. It's rock, but it's got some piano action going on, really pretty background vocals, and a chorus that includes some na-na-nas! Needless to say, I loved it immediately.
