011 conspiracies uncovered

A woman told me that everything happens for a reason. All things have meaning.

But what connects each moment to the next beyond simple chronology? Is life simply a chain reaction of cause and effect? Or is there a deeper meaning to every passing moment?

Is God a distant benefactor, weaving a tapestry of grace that is untouched by human hands? Or is He the lantern in the darkness, illuminating our path? Are these moments of startling clarity a sign of His presence in our lives, a chance to consider the paths we have taken and the forks in the road that yet lie ahead?

I was given a glimpse of the life I had rejected, and now I am thrust again into the life I did not choose. What thread of meaning binds these together? If I am standing at a crossroads, what are the paths I can take? What is the lesson I'm supposed to learn?

[Scully stands in front of Mulder's door, strangely hesitant. The world is spinning around her, coincidence melding with happenstance to create perfect synchronicity. But what is the meaning that ties all these unrelated events together? She doesn't know, and not knowing frightens her. This is Mulder's domain, not hers.

Mulder. On the other side of that door was once her future and is now her past. Where once Mulder had known what was in store for her, now she knows his future. That knowledge gives her pause, her knuckles resting on the door.

But finally, with a deep breath and a leap of faith, she knocks.]

[ooc: Aaaand she's back! Updated to season 7, mid-"All Things". Tags'll be slow 'cause I have a midterm tonight that needs studying for. And sleep. Need sleep too. ALSO, she's cursed. No obfuscating the truth for Mrs. Spooky.]

scully loves her tl;dr, special agent thinks too much, i don't know who i'm reporting to
