(no subject)
i'm writing this b/c i dont want to do my reading. school's only been in a three days and i'm already behind - not that that's different from any other year tho...
this year doesn't actually seem too bad all things considered. hopefully my classes, more specifically the people in them, will not be too annoying.
my classes are as follows:
1)environmental philosophy and ethics - i'm kind of excited about it, mainly b/c the teach is a nice lady, but there are already those kids in the class that are annoying b/c they want to turn the world into recreational parks
2)intro to environmental economics - i'm the opposite of stoked about this class; i thought i'd never have to take an econ class in my life, but since i changed majors i have to take it and it = the suck. wasting time with lower div classes was not how i wanted to spend my senior year...
3)rhetoric of social sciences - i'm excited about this class a bunch; the teach is really nice and we get to talk shit about things i like talking shit about!
4)discourses on colonialism and postcolonialism - i'm definately most excited about this class. i was bummed that i wouldnt be able to take it, but i ended up dropping a really boring class on trade and the environment (that class sounded really intereting, but as it is an economics class, the prof was really dull and really didnt stand out to me or cary). so, because i dropped that snoozer, i had room to take this class. it's the same teach from the rhetoric class so that is also exciting and the reading will also be really interesting and seeing as how i already had two of the books i figured it'd be a good fit.
so as far as classes go, it seems that it wont be too awful.
as far as the extracurriculars go, mika miko is playing on saturday which i'm really excited about. the wobbly cat is on monday; i don't know that i'll go, but i'll probably go to the after party, so those of you in the bay area should come hang out on monday.
also, as it is a long weekend, who wants to go on bike rides and have picnics? i say yes to both, so if you're down, call me.
i spose that's all for now and i should probably do some reading.
