another open letter
Dear Professor,
I am writing to ask you for an extension on my final paper. I was in the hospital all weekend with a raging bout of food poisoning, and as such, was unable to delve into the fascinating world of novel-writing monkeys. It would seem that i undercooked the fish i ate for dinner. perhaps i should have listened more attentively to your informative lecture. please forgive me.
