so, ladies and gentlemen...
It would seem that I have a job in Montreal.
I am working for McGill's Off-campus housing office.
I will have to wear nice clothes.
I will be working indoors.
I have mixed feelings on all of this. I am going to miss camp like crazy-go-what. i will miss my friends and family (subtext reads, Y'ALL BEST COME AND VISIT ME!!!!!!!). i will miss horses a LOT.
On the other hand, this will be a good opportunity to try the whole actually living in MTL without being in school full-time. Hopefully, there will be time to practice my French more....my Quebecoise friend Heloise said she'd be happy to speak french/hang out with me. And I can harass my (soon-to-be-former) french neighbours, and invite them out and such.
And, Montreal in the summer=festivals like WHAT!!! Jazz festival? I'm killer-excited. Seriously, I don't know when i'll have the chance to do this whole Montreal thing again after University. I'll probably come back to Minneapolis after school/travelling. i don't know that I would want to stay in MTL indefinitely....so spending timei here seems like the best option. Take the opportunities as they come, right? And get some valuable job experience in the process. Not that I want to work in an office for the rest of my life (because i DON"T), but its a good way to start out with stuff, save up some money. And then i'll have a better idea of what kinds of jobs i DON"T want for the rest of my life.
Now its time to study. stupid exams. they can all just shove it.
much love, all. please please please keep in touch, especially you far-flung readers.
