However, I suppose it's better to be emotionally and mentally stripped bare than repressed. I have experienced the lesser of two evils here. Maybe if I say that enough, I'll believe it.
Still, I don't appreciate the feeling of being spied on. Just because the diary is left open doesn't mean you should pick it up and read it. And show your friends. And keep coming back to it.
