PBUK Awards Dinner
This weekend sees the arrival of the Paintball UK (PBUK) Magazine black tie awards dinner, I was there last year and it was a good night so I am looking forward to it.
This is only the 2nd year that they have involved scenario paintball in the awards. The first year they had awards for 'Scenario Player of the Year' which when to a guy called Lee Wickam who well deserved it, & a an award for 'Scenario Team of the Year' which we won. For political reasons we will not win team of the year again even though I am pretty sure we would be in the running again, and player of the year from last year gets to be on the committee this year so he cant win it again.
So when you drop us from the running for team of the year its a pretty level field and it could go to any one of about 4 teams. As for player of the year I know I am in the running for it but I don’t know who I am up against, I would like to say it doesn’t mater and if I win I win and if I don’t I don’t. But to tell the truth for the first time in my life I really care about this kind of thing, I really want this award..... this is really not like me.
O well here’s hoping I win.
