Basics and Jazzy Greensleeves
I had a group of folks over last night to learn/practice a small concert I'm putting together.
Do I know what I'm doing? Well, sort of, by seeing other people do it before. I'm not even very good at reading music. I haven't let little things like that stop me before! ;) Learn with my face, hell yeah!
By the end of the night, we needed to throw away sheet music to two of the songs, practiced the first part of another song, and then added a third (and fourth and fifth aren't far off!). I'm pretty sure those more professional and music-trained than I thought I was funny as hell.
But I had a blast. It was fellowship and song. Last night, dreamt of music. I woke up feeling more happy and refreshed than I've felt in a while.
Collaboration, friends, and music.
I must remember these things.
