Cell Phone Mystery Solved
For the past few weeks, my cell phone has been doing the most annoying thing. If the volume is up, it has sporadically made a 'dingdong!' sound. The few times I have caught it have been just as the screen was flashing some message which immediately disappeared with the sound. There was no regular time interval for the sounds, either. I could have two in ten minutes and not another one for four more hours. It was driving me nuts. Halo even tried to help me figure out what the deal was, to no avail. You can't attend to a message you can't pull back up!!!
Well, today I finally caught the message. I happened to be looking at my phone at the exact right time. Would you like to know what it was? (If you don't, then you probably haven't read this far :P) It was telling me that my text inbox was full. That's right. So...maybe this was a dingdong I got every time somebody tried to text me, but I swear that I probably wasn't being texted as much as my phone was making this noise. However, if you have tried to text me and have no idea why I never responded to you, especially if you have texted me the secret to the universe, then I apologize. Please resend it, for otherwise I have missed out on this knowledge forever. Woe!
But seriously...if something so important as my text inbox was full, then wouldn't you think the very clever engineers of this phone (and they were clever, it has many nifty features) would have thought of some way to have a crucial message about the status of my inbox last longer than .78 seconds? You know, so I could realize the problem and delete a few messages? Oi. Oi I say, Oi.
Well, at least the mystery is solved and I no longer have to worry that my phone is going to explode. Or that it is being sent wicked messages by the evil mothership. Or good messages that I need to save the world but may not be in time to decipher. I can sleep better tonight with one less worry. Well, once I get over my house number being a rearranged 1408 and still adding up to 13. Yikes.
