I've added another reason to get out of Reno to my list :) Baking. Uggh. So today I got a spur up my butt and decided I wanted to bake because I was feeling abnormally homesick and nostalgic. I first made my yummy snickerdoodle cookies, not thinking about the stupid high altitude. I was fully aware of my oven setting because it's hotter than a normal oven, but in the end, they still came out weird. They were super flat and very crunchy. At least they taste good, though, lol.
So before I attempted my first batch of banana nut bread, I called upon the wonderful service of my neighbor back home, Ms. Dee. She provided me some tips of how to adjust ingredients in order to account for the high altitude, and lo and behold, my bread came out very well. Now I'll just have to do some trial and error with my dang cookies.
