Sokka pulled Katara’s braid, as he had done many times before. But that was before the war. He waited for her to go ballistic and yell at him, but it didn’t happen. She just turned around and smiled at him, as if to ask him what he wanted.
“That’s not right,” Sokka said complained. He was annoyed with his sister’s lack of reaction.
“What’s supposed to happen then?” Katara sighed crossing her arms.
He thought for a moment, recalling the last time he had done that.
“Sokka! I can’t believe you!” Sokka screamed in his best ‘angry Katara’ tone. “You know I don’t like that. I hate it, hate it, hate it! I’m telling Gran-Gran.”
“Fine, tell Gran-Gran,” Katara snickered in a deep voice, mocking him.
Katara laughed when Sokka stormed off to Gran-Gran. He stopped suddenly. She guessed he thought the joke had run its course.
She wondered if Sokka knew why she reacted differently to his teasing now. After traveling with Aang she came to realize that she could have gotten stuck with a far worse sibling then Sokka.
