Before her encounter with Alucard everything had been different. Everything had been so clear-cut to Seras. The cold black heart of criminals stood out like a sore thumb. That made it easy for her to do her job as an officer.
After she was turned in to a vampire, her superior had requested her help with a case. But the vampires she was searching for looked like ordinary people, not cold blooded criminals, to her. It was extremely difficult for her to take aim and shot.
The majority of the vampires looked more pleasant and good than Alucard even though they were not. It confused Seras. She felt as if the colors of good and evil had meshed into indistinguishable shades of grey.
