Installed doom3 a few hours ago.. runs pretty smooth on my machine in medium quiality at 1280x1024 which shocked me. (i got an AMD XP 2100+, 512mb RAM and a GeForce FX5200)
Gameplay is pretty poor tho, weapons are totally lame and everything gets repetative. Atmosphere and effects are awesome but thats it. Bring on Half-Life 2!
FarCry and Halo are better imho.
UPDATE: My mum found out i have Doom 3 (damn it).. this is a bad thing because she was a big fan of the original games. Only thing is, back then Doom was just run and shoot.. now its mouse aiming, jumping, strafing.. and she cant grasp it so i've spent hours trying show her how to play. I think she has alot in common with those brainless zombies... lol
