8th Month
Notice: The following entry includes impeccable grammar and grandiose words (i just felt like doing it properly lol)
And we slip quietly into August.. i dont know about anyone else, but i have certainly been left wondering "where the hell to June and July go?". Almost 22 and a half, ergh.
Has been a very active Weekend tho.. Friday I went to see some bands at the Muni, there was Indifference, Johnny Mental and Stamping Grounds which are all awesome bands. Afterwards a few of us went back to a friends house, we sat up most of the night drinking coffee and talking. I walked home at 6am went straight to bed at around 7:15.
Then 11:30pm we left for Chepstow to attend the 18hr LAN Party. The first few hours completely flew by, all we did was talk and swap files. Then we got into some good ol' gaming, bullets flew, vehicles crashed, civilisations burned... such joy haha. I really expected the place to be full of pale skinny anti-socialists or large boisterous game nerds.. i guess that was an overly stereotypical pre-conception. In fact most of the people seemed more normal than me, a lot of them were around my age but there were a few kids that the organisers brought (the organisers are in their 40s), don’t get me wrong though; there were a few that fitted the stereotype perfectly... there were no girls tho :(. I didn't win much, except a crappy t-shirt, pen and a mousemat for having a high score in Counter-Strike, which is hardley suprising as i've been playing that game for like 6 years. They took my picture too (Click) which looks extremely un-appealing, the Ripcurl shirt i was wearing was in my bag and i only just put it on because it was cold.. so it is mega creased. It was also 4am Sunday morning and I only had 3 hours sleep since Friday, I was a bit stoned too haha. The tournament organisation was abysmal though, so it wasn't in the slightest bit fair. I won't rant as to why; I did plenty of that after the games finished. All in all, it was a blast. Got to make some new friends with similar interests, which is awesome because i have very few friends who play games.
My brother moved out Sunday, so its been kinda busy around here. It’s going to be weird not seeing him often. As it is I only get to see him a few times a week, but now it is going to be a few times a month. If nothing else it will certainly be more peaceful here lol.
