Went for a sleep study last night and I felt like a cyborg with all the electrodes (?) sticking off my head, chest, and legs. I've been snoring for several years (apologies to those who experienced it) and so I finally decided to have it checked out. I won't know for a while if I have sleep apnea but if I do I'll need a c-pap machine until it's no longer a problem. Luckily, knock on wood, my insurance will cover all of it.
Sleep studies are weird and the dreams I had were bizarre. At one point I was looking for an extra blanket, it was cold in the room, and could only find yoga equipment.
The technician says I possibly have mild sleep apnea but to wait to see what the doc says.
In other news I also will have an EKG done this Monday to check my heart, etc. Man, getting old sucks. Odd thing, this doctor is also my sleep doctor. But the two things are linked so it makes sense.
Well, I'm a little discombobulated from the sleep study so am going to take a mini nap because, man, I do *not* feel rested.
In other other news...I hope that Florence dissipates quickly and that everyone, from people to pets, are safe.
ETA: Still jogging and am thinking of running charity races in November. There's the Turkey Trot and the Santa Hustle and I'd like to go to both of them. There's a possibility that my sis and her hubs will be in town for Thanksgiving and thus able to join in on the Turkey Trot. Fingers crossed!
